Grow where you are planted
I was born and raised in a small town in Missouri, in a very nice community. When I became an adult I moved multiple times, including living 10 years in Oklahoma. In my lifetime I have done much traveling around the US as well as visiting a few places in Canada. Traveling allows me to see and experience different places and cultures, but no matter where I travel it's always a blessing to come home again. Home is wherever my roots are and yes, that place has changed multiple times over the years.
Each place I've lived I've found my niche of what I wanted to do, growing and prospering exactly where I was. Doing so has allowed me to expand my knowledge and grow through countless experiences which have stayed with me as my life has changed and grown. One lesson I have learned well is that no matter where I call home it is vitally important to grow in that place.
So often we are so busy looking for the next big thing that we miss out on what is right in front of us. No, each experience in a location isn't always good and comforting but even in those challenging and difficult times we can still grow and learn.
I have undertaken responsibilities and roles in my life that I never imagined doing. From running a successful Avon business and filling in for the district manager, to running for and being elected Mayor, to where I am today, business owner. The point is no matter where I find myself I strive to put down roots and grow where I am planted.
Learn to find contentment where you are. That doesn't mean you can't want and reach for more, but don't miss out on what is right in front of you while focusing on the next big thing. Take the time needed to plant some roots, stretch your wings where you are and smell the rosesπΉ. You might be surprised to find a great level of contentment to simply grow exactly where your planted. At least until God chooses to move you to a new and better location.

Great post !!!! We can put down roots anywhere we are and create a space that brings us joy and comfort that we look forward to coming home to. I’m so proud of you ππ❤️π₯°π
