  When you think about appearance what comes to mind?  Is it clothing and clothing style, is it hair and makeup, is it height and weight?  What do you you consider when you think about appearance?  Truth is so many factors go in to considering personal appearance. Years ago you would know someone's profession simply by what they were wearing, in some professions you still can, but in many others that level of personal appearance has taken a drastic change, so often business clothes are now much more casual.  Or consider what you might now see if you were to go shopping at your local Wal-Mart, absolutely anything goes.   When you have a business meeting what's your appearance?  For me appearance is the whole package and is so important because it often sets the tone for how a meeting might go.  I'm clean, I dress professionally, I fix my hair, I wear makeup, etc, and I walk in with a smile and friendly greeting.  In all these ways I am pr...

Have you ever stood at the ocean and looked at the vast expanse of nothing but water in awe? Have you ever stood on a mountain top and looked in wonder at what felt like the whole world 🌎 below you? Do you prefer to live in the wide open spaces of the country or are you more at home in the city with people and buildings all around? We all have our preferences and we tend to create our lives around those preferences.  For instance if you want to live in the city, you'll look for a home as near the city life as possible. Me, I love the mountains, but the ocean is a part of me.  Given the choice I will always choose the ocean.  If you spend enough time at the ocean you realize that every emotion a person can experience can be witnessed within the calm and turmoil of the waters of the ocean.  I look at that and think, God controls all of this and if He can control the vastness of the ocean then my problems and my emotions are no trouble for God and His great...

Just as tossing a rock into a lake will case ripples to flow outwards, our personal choice will also cause ripples to flow outward and touch others, whether we intend them to or not.  Each and every choice we make causes a ripple affect.  Whichever choice we choose odds are we're going to be affecting someone else and even the choices they might to make. How often do we hear or even say, "you have a choice"?  Of course we have a choice, but so often we find ourselves considering how will this choice affect those we love?   No matter what we are choosing we are not only affecting our own lives but those lives around us, whether it be family, friends, or merely acquaintances.   In turn, what we choose can in fact, alter the choice that another might make.  A simple way this works is if you are at a restaurant and you choose a steak and baked potato, the table next to yours then orders and they also want the steak and baked potato but you...

Happy Monday! It feels good to finally be back to writing and posting my blogs. How fitting that after so many months of not having access to post that I'm back at it on a Monday.  So many people seem to dread Monday, the grind of having to return to work following the weekend. Are you someone who dreads Monday? I've been there and still there are a few obstacles that arise on Monday mornings that I find myself dreading, but I'm working on finding joy even in Mondays.  After all each Monday is a brand new beginning, and the potential for what it might lead to is limitless!
