Eclipse

On the night of May 15, 2022, we had our first total lunar eclipse of the year. Did you watch it? I felt it was beautiful and so moving. In reflecting on it since, I've had many thoughts come to mind.   For starters the eclipse itself did not start at the exact time we were told it would.. As a matter of fact at that time the sky was covered in storm clouds where I was at.  You knew the approximate area where the moon was but there was no way anyone was going to see an eclipse.  Then an hour later, still no storm had come through but instead the sky had completely cleared of storm clouds and it was obvious that the eclipse was going to put on a magnificent show.  Slowly the shadows passed in front of the moon blocking more and more of it from sight and once it was fully covered the moon was a dark red and it remained that way for quite some time.  Casting our world in cold and darkness.   I admit, I did not stay up and watch it once ag...

Things to Give Up

The first thing I started changing was how I saw myself and who I wanted to be. I wanted to happy and find a way to stop being so critical of myself. I realized I'm hum...

Music

How do you feel about music 🎶? For me it's about taking a journey. Music allows my soul to take flight and soar to unimaginable heights. A song 🎵 can move me forward with joy, or back to a time long forgotten. It can bring about such feelings of nostalgia or fill my heart ❤️ with longing for a loved one who's passed away.  I love to sing, when I'm working, cleaning, driving, anytime at all I love to sing and often find it's mixed with a little dancing💃.  However, there was a time when music held no joy for me. During one of the worst times in my life I completely stopped singing. The radio would be on as I was driving, but my heart hurt so deeply that I didn't hear music only noise. I had no joy within me and as a result no music could get through. Those months were very dark indeed. Have you ever found yourself in such a dark place of despair?  I was finally able to find my way through, it took a lot of healing and God's guidance and grace to see...
