Other side of the Mountain

In whatever you are doing you'll encounter setbacks and obstacles. Sometimes those setbacks can make you question your journey maybe even question or doubt yourself and your dreams. Remember, you CAN do this, it just might take longer, not because it's impossible but because you're on the other side of the mountain.

We start our climb and we can see the smooth wide path in front of us.  It's so inviting, and we think we're going to get to the top of our mountain so quickly.  After all it's smooth and nothing can stop us.  Then suddenly our path changes and becomes rocky, we are encountering a path with obstacles and drop-offs, sheer cliffs and straight walls to climb.  Do we turn around and go back, give up on what we have been working towards?

If we are determined and willing to continue then taking the path that is rocky and steep will teach you to be sure-footed.  This path will test you, it will take time, it will teach you that you are strong and capable, you will learn to trust in yourself as well as trust in the right people, but most importantly you will learn to put ALL your trust and faith in God because He will guide you up your mountain.

Just imagine the reward when you reach the summit of your mountain! No, you won't reach the top fast, but you'll discover along the way that your journey is encouraging, helping to guide, and support others in their personal journey.

So when you find yourself struggling and doubting your direction, because it appears so much easier for someone else, remember, you're simply on the other side of the mountain where you are learning and growing.  Take a moment and look around at all you've accomplished, and then take a deep breathe and look at the glorious view on this side of the mountain!
