Acceptance
Do you find yourself struggling with being accepted or with accepting someone who is different than you are? Consider for a moment Winnie the Pooh and all his friends. Each of them in their own unique way represent a disorder, and yet they all find a way to get along and accept without trying to change each other.
Growing up Winnie the Pooh was my favorite cartoon and truth be told I think he still is. I always felt so happy knowing that somewhere, even if it was only in The Hundred Acre Woods, everyone was wanted and accepted just as they are. When we don't feel accepted we tend to do things that we normally wouldn't just so we can fit it. It's time to do the things that make you the unique person you are and you will learn that eventually the ones who will accept you will start entering your life. They have simply been waiting for the genuine you to show up. Start by loving yourself, and be proud to be the person you were created to be!
Winnie the Pooh is impulsive and appears to have an eating disorder, and yet no one tells him to go on a diet. Piglet is always anxious, and surrounded by friends who encourage and support. Eeyore is depressed but never is there a moment that his friends do not want him around and truly accept him exactly as he is. Rabbit is OCD, everything in its place. Tigger has ADHD and bounces, "as tiggers do", from one thing to another.
